Dear Members and readers, we are very happy to report that our Artist and Musician Carole M. Hoover was one of only four people whose life story and achievements were included in the Oral History Project originally published by the organization ‘Villages of Kensington’.
Kensington, a small Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C. has been home to Ms. Hoover for over 40 years. Recently, Kensington Magazine, included the oral histories in their latest issue.
Singing with Dinah Washington in the 60’s, running her own dance studio to put herself through college, only one out of 4 women to graduate college in the 50’s, one of the first female fashion buyers at Hecht’s, taking ballet and tap lessons beginning at age 5, dancing with her sister in famous clubs in New York, Carole has had an incredible life.
